Size guide

Every piece in the shop is one of a kind, so the size on the label is only half the story. A 90s Nike XL often fits like a modern L, and a Ralph Lauren shirt from 2005 fits like today's size. That is why we list measurements on every item and ask you to compare them with something you already own.

How we measure

All garments are measured laid flat, in centimetres.

  • Pit to pit: straight across the chest from armpit seam to armpit seam. Double it for the full chest.
  • Length: from the highest point of the shoulder (next to the collar) straight down to the hem.
  • Waist (trousers): across the top of the waistband, laid flat. Double it for the full waist.
  • Inseam: from the crotch seam down the inside of the leg to the hem.
  • Total length (trousers): from the top of the waistband to the hem, along the outside.

Pit to pit, roughly translated

Pit to pit Fits like
48 to 51 cm S
52 to 55 cm M
56 to 59 cm L
60 to 63 cm XL
64 cm and up XXL

This is for a regular fit. Add 2 to 4 cm if you want it boxy or oversized, which is how most of the sweatshirts and tees from the 90s were worn.

Condition

We describe every flaw we find: marks, fading, small holes, repairs. If it says "no flaws" it means we looked and found none. Vintage is worn by definition, so expect the softness and character that comes with it.
